Mississippi Stud Poker
Also called “New Hampshire Hold’em”, Mississippi Stud is a game that was introduced to New Hampshire players in the past few years. The game has the potential for large payouts and has quickly become the most popular game in New Hampshire. Due to the state limit on betting, bets are limited to either $2 or $4 bets at Mississippi Stud. Cheers Poker Room & Casino offers the highest payouts in the state!
How to Play
The game is simple to learn and involves players using their own cards along with community cards shared by the players. Players start by placing an “Ante” bet of $2 or $4. Each player is then dealt 2 cards face down and the dealer places 3 cards face down that serve as community cards. If a player wants to continue to play they must place another bet that matches their Ante bet. Players also have the option of betting two or three times their ante bets if they believe they have a good chance of winning. After each player has decided to either fold their hand or continue betting, the first community card is revealed. The same process is repeated until all 3 community cards are revealed. At this point, the dealer will pay anyone who has a winning hand and losing bets are collected.
Bonus Bets
There are two bonus bets in Mississippi Stud. The first is a 3-Card bonus bet that players bet on the 3 community cards. If these 3 cards result in a pair or better, the player will win. A 6-Card bonus bet is also available. At the beginning of each hand the dealer will place 4 cards face down off to the side. At the end of the hand these cards will be revealed and paired with each players 2 cards to make the best 5 card hand possible. Payouts for these bonus bets are posted at the table.
